The St. Louis County Library wrapped up a summers-long drive for The Little Bit Foundation that collected over 5,200 pairs of socks and underwear to serve our more than 11,000 students this school year! It’s a relationship brought together by Citi, who supports Little Bit efforts at Normandy Kindergarten Center and has been a longtime community partner of the St. Louis County Library.
“We were introduced to Little Bit by Citi but didn’t have a good sense of the scope until we visited their distribution center…and wow,” says Kristen Sorth, Director of the St. Louis County Library. “It was one of those moments when you just say ‘count me in!” In addition to the drive, the County Library opened a closet at its Lewis and Clark branch during the summer, which Little Bit kept stocked with hygiene items. More than 1,300 hygiene kits were distributed. “I know our families were very grateful, so hoping to replicate this in other branches where there is a need.”
