Teaming Up for Healthy Futures

On September 14, 2023, Little Bit announced a new 3-year grant from the Centene Foundation, which will support the physical health, mental well-being and success of all of our students! Centene has been an essential supporter of Little Bit for nearly 10 years, but this new collaboration, which will incorporate other community partners also dedicated to this mission, is the start of something really BIG for the region.

To kick things off, we held an all-school rally at Yeatman-Liddell Middle School, which included St. Louis CITY SC and the Pro Football Hall of Fame – both of whom have committed to the new partnership. Yeatman students heard from CITY SC defender, Jonathan Bell, and Pro Football Hall of Famer/former Ram, Aeneas Williams, who shared a message on believing in yourself and making smart decisions now that will impact your future. They also received some CITY SC and PFHOF swag, while teachers were surprised with supplies for their classrooms. The icing on the cake? Students at Yeatman, as well as 3 other Little Bit partner schools, learned they would receive tickets to the CITY SC 2 match on Sunday, with transportation and meal provided!

Even more exciting, we unveiled a new “Self-Care and Wellness Center” model at Yeatman we will be rolling out in select schools through this partnership. WATCH segment about new centers.

This is one example of the incredible potential of a community coming together to pour into students with resources, opportunities, guidance and support. THANK YOU to our amazing partners!
