On Friday, October 10, 2025, Little Bit supporters gathered at the Chase Park Plaza for our 19th Annual Join the Journey Gala, an unforgettable evening filled with purpose, inspiration, and celebration. By the end of the event, more than $725,000 had been raised in support of The Little Bit Foundation’s mission to empower students and break down barriers to learning.

The night began with a high-energy procession led by the Vashon High School Marching Band and students from Hancock Place School District. Hosted by Carol Daniel, the program included remarks by Little Bit President and CEO Miranda Walker Jones, Board Chair Sarah Bowman, and Honorary Chairs Laura Hettiger, Dr. Mark Gdowski, and Aisha Bowe. Leaning into our theme of “Together, We’re Unlimited,” their collective voices reminded us why the work of Little Bit matters – because our children’s futures and the strength of our community are in our hands today – and how much more we can do when we work together.

Special highlights included the presentation of Little Bit Spirit Awards, recognition of our Centene grant recipients, and a moving performance of “Defying Gravity” by Safi ya Austin-El and Aspen Meyer – a perfect anthem for the limitless potential we see in every student we serve. The night concluded with a spirited after-party, sponsored by Property Assessment Review and featuring music and dancing with local party band Just In Time.

St. Louis showed up strong – just as it always does – and we thank everyone for proving that when we are undivided in our purpose, our students can rise to any height.
